Two Greenhill’s Beavers Players Make the State Teams
Congratulations to Greg Page and Ben Mossuto
Greg Page gained a position in the U 18 state side. He has been playing at Greenhills for 6 years. He is an extraordinary player who plays with gusto. Greg is bottom age U 18 which is an extraordinary achievement. The U 18 National Championship was played in Terrigal, N.S.W. in April this year and the team were defeated by 2 points in the national final on the buzzer by NSW Metro. Greg has also been selected to attend an Australian Development Camp at the AIS in Canberra from 21st – 24th June, 2010.

Ben Mossuto made it to the U 16 state side after a long process trying out. Ben has been playing at Greenhills since U 12s. He is a very talented player, who moves like the speed of light up and down the court. The U16 state side are still to play in Queensland during the next school holidays.
The Greenhills Committee presented a gift, on behalf of the club, at the last AGM, to both players to assist them with the cost of this event. This event relies on fundraising done by the parents of the boys in the team. Should you like to make
donation to the U16 side, please email us on info@greenhillsbasketball.com.au.
Girl's Coordinators Report
June 2010
A new season is just about upon us. Thanks to all of our coaches who have given up their time to train and coach the girls. I would also like to thank the parents of some of our younger coaches who I know drive them around to training and games.
With new season beginning this can mean a new team for your child. This is part of being in a club, playing with new players and making new friends.
I would like to welcome Kathy Church who has done a great job getting together our new under 8’s, thanks to Gail Clifford for offering to coach this new team. A special training night was run a few weeks ago and we had a great turn up of new and some future girls to join the club.
At the beginning of every season, we make requests to DVBA for particular grades for each team, unfortunately sometimes these grades are not exactly correct, so the first five games of the season are grading games. Each week you need to check the DVBA website for game times, the day before your game day. Often these are changed each week for first five weeks as DVBA try to sort out the best grade for your girls team.
To see the fixtures click on fixtures (on the right of this page), this will take you to the DVBA website. On right hand side of the DVBA screen there is fixture box, click here and then select age group, under this is the grades. Click on each until find your team and game time.
Should you have any queries call myself on 0421 350 479 or Kathy Church for U8, 10 and 12s on 0400 690 604.
